Scalable Architecture Lab (SARCHLAB) is a research lab under the Computer Science Department of William & Mary, led by Dr. Yifan Sun. The lab focuses on developing scalable and efficient computer architectures, emphasizing the capabilities for humans to understand and for the architecture to serve humans. SARCHLAB's research areas include explainable architecture, computer architecture simulation, and multi-GPU and wafer-scale system design. The lab offers simulation tools, such as the Akita simulator framework and the MGPUSim multi-GPU simulator, to validate ideas and improve performance. Additionally, SARCHLAB provides data visualization tools to help designers make informed decisions. The lab is sponsored by organizations like the National Science Foundation and Advanced Micro Devices. With its expertise in computer architecture, SARCHLAB contributes to the development of innovative solutions and publishes research papers in prominent conferences and journals.
