Orion BMS manufactures battery management systems (BMS) designed for lithium-ion batteries, specifically for applications in electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and other battery-powered equipment. Their systems include features such as state of charge calculations, cell over-voltage and under-voltage protection, intelligent battery balancing, battery charger control, and pack temperature monitoring. The Orion BMS can support configurations of up to 180 cells in series and is capable of measuring cell voltages between 0.5V and 5.0V. It utilizes automotive-grade locking connectors and provides dual CANBUS interfaces for communication with other devices.
