The Space Hardware Club at The University of Alabama in Huntsville is a volunteer, student-led organization that provides students with opportunities to design, build, and fly payloads and flight vehicles for a wide variety of mission requirements. Projects range from space-worthy satellites, to yearly international competitions, to high altitude ballooning missions, and community outreach. Space Hardware Club also has high powered rocketry and balloon payloads that conduct science experiments at high altitude and provide outreach experiences for elementary, middle school and high school students.
