SULIS is a UK‑led flagship space science mission that will deploy innovative 6U CubeSats to place three pairs of formation‑flying coronagraphs in 1 AU solar orbit. The mission provides the first direct 3‑D measurements of the coronal magnetic field and eclipse‑quality imaging of the extended solar corona out to 5 solar radii. It also demonstrates advanced technologies such as smart CubeSat optical communications, radiation‑hardened photovoltaic cells, and laser optical links. SULIS aims to advance understanding of solar eruptive events that drive space weather.
