SiCqurTech is a European consortium developing fab‑ready solid‑state quantum technology based on vacancy‑related colour centres in silicon carbide, the industry’s leading third‑generation semiconductor. The project integrates these colour centres into silicon‑carbide photonic chips, creates silicon‑carbide‑on‑insulator platforms, and advances quantum‑grade fabrication and surface‑modification techniques to improve spin‑optical coherence. It aims to demonstrate multi‑qubit control, photon‑mediated entanglement, and scalable devices for quantum communication networks, providing a pathway to cost‑effective, CMOS‑inspired quantum devices.
