OCI manufactures and supplies semiconductor phosphoric acid, which is a key material used in the etching process of semiconductor wafers. They are the leading domestic supplier in South Korea, providing phosphoric acid to all major semiconductor chip manufacturers, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. OCI plans to increase its production capacity from 25,000 MT to 30,000 MT through debottlenecking, aiming for a 20% increase in production efficiency. Additionally, they produce hydrogen peroxide and special materials for silicon anodes, with a production capacity of 125,000 tons per year for hydrogen peroxide. Their new silicon anode materials are designed to enhance energy efficiency and stability in next-generation batteries, with plans for mass production starting in 2026.
