TOSHIBA ENERGY SYS manufactures the 125VDC SCiB™ Energy Storage System (ESS) utilizing Lithium Titanium Oxide (LTO) battery technology. This system is designed for backup applications in 125VDC switchgear and UPS systems, particularly in industrial sectors such as telecommunications, oil and gas, and utilities. The SCiB™ technology offers over 15,000 cycles without loss of life, a 20x longer cycle life compared to VRLA batteries, and retains over 90% charge for a year at temperatures ranging from -30°C to 45°C. The products are assembled in the USA and include SCiB™ Cells, SCiB™ Modules, and SCiB™ ESS, all manufactured entirely by Toshiba.
