The Slovak Chips Competence Centre (SKCCC), headquartered at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, is a newly established tech hub dedicated to advancing chip technology in Slovakia and across Europe. One of its goal is implementation of the BETeC2 project which is part of the Chips for Europe Initiative. The SKCCC is envisioned as a central point for Slovak companies and start-ups, providing access to cutting-edge technologies, research expertise, and specialized services in semiconductors and advanced chip packaging. In addition to supporting innovation, the SKCCC aims to address the growing talent shortage in the broader semiconductor ecosystem. A key objective is to educate and train a new generation of experts and specialists who will drive the development of future semiconductor and chip products. Our vision is to build a strong, competitive ecosystem for the Slovak semiconductor industry, with a particular focus on advanced chip packaging technologies. As part of the European Union’s initiative to boost the chip sector, we are contributing to the growth of Europe’s technological sovereignty while creating new opportunities for innovation, research, and industrial collaboration. Together, we are shaping the future of chips and semiconductors in Slovakia.
